I think the the theme of the story is acceptance because Betty Lou Blue got bullied because she had big feet and other kids would not accept her into there games. Also nobody would even be friends with her because they could not accept her feet. But when the other kids got stuck in the snow and she helped them out they finally started to accept her.
The message in the book made me think just because people are different doesn't mean you have to treat them differently.

I think that the theme is acceptance because the kids where not accepting Trisha for who she really was and they needed to accept her. Like that big bully Eric. He keeped on being mean to Trisha and making fun of her just because she could not read. And finally some body would accept Trisha and his name was Mr.Falker. He would accept Trisha for who she really was. Now practically every day Mr.Falker would work with Trisha and even practice things Trisha did not even understand. And slowly Trisha began to read! That shows that Mr.Falker really cared about Trisha.
I think that the message is, "Do not judge people just because they are different from you and you also need to accept them for who they really are"

I think that the theme is acceptance because Nelson had to move far away from his mother and live with other people when he was nine and he accepted it and moved on. When Nelson heard many of the rich people in his country South Africa died other people where surprised but Nelson was sad and he accepted it and moved on. Then he grew up and tried to protect people.
Then Nelson went to jail but instead of being violent and bad he was peaceful and he hoped to be let out but unfortunately he stayed a long time 27 1/2 years! That is a really long time. And he accepted it and didn't care. My opinion: it's a strong book and it's sad

I think the theme is acceptance because Raymond kept on teasing Ut for her clothes and called them pajamas and Raymond kept on teasing her because of how she looked.
But in the end Raymond made a fight with Ut and got called into the principals office and then they became friends. So in the end Raymond accepted Ut for who she really is.
